TL;DR

Submission week for project plan.

Introduction

Back in Week 1, we had a discussion and started to map up the design for Guardian. This week, while waiting for the various parts to arrive, we decided to discuss on finalising some of the changes before construction and programming commences.

Project Pan

This week was also our submission of our project plan. As such, it also gave us the opportunity to work up our plan and talk about our design. In the plan, we also got the chance to finalise each of our individual roles. Firstly, Guo Jun would work on the AI portion of the project whereas Soon Li would do the web portions. I on the other hand will be working on the building and construction of our robot. That said, it doesn’t mean that we will be strictly following this segregation of roles, rather, we will adopt that whoever is tasked is overall in charge and the team would work on it together. 🤝

After which, we also did up a project milestone indicating what are the main tasks that needs to be done alongside acceptance criteria. This can help to keep us in check and also was effective in listing out the tasks that needs to be completed. 🤗

During our decision making, we also did competitor analysis. One of those would be this vending machine which is capable of collecting plastic and aluminium waste giving users monetary rewards for their effort.
